WH Border Policies Helping Cartels

Upon taking office in January 2021, President Biden pledged to make significant changes to how the United States treats asylum seekers and restore the humanitarian safeguards that had been weakened under his predecessor’s watch. But what happened?

An abandoned tractor-trailer in San Antonio, Texas, contained the bodies of 53 illegal immigrants, the latest instance of the Biden administration’s lax border security measures. Eleven people are still in the hospital.

This is the country’s worst-ever case of people smuggling and trafficking deaths. Inaction, muddled communications, and a lack of expertise all played a role in this debacle.

Border turmoil has lasted for 16 months now. Illegal businesses include drug cartels and other trafficking organizations. Like any other business, they rely on the market’s stability to maximize profits. Failure by the federal government to enforce immigration laws has been the norm since January 2021.

It’s business as usual for drug dealers and smugglers alike. Cartels are generating billions, according to estimates, and there appears to be no end in sight.

They profit off the suffering and death of others. When illegal immigrant arrives at the US-Mexico border, they are assaulted in some way. Many women and girls are sexually assaulted as they travel up the mountain to the country’s north.

There has been an increase in the smuggling and trafficking of unaccompanied immigrant children since the Biden administration decided to remove them from Title 42 deportation powers. Since “family units” are considered lenient, human traffickers can reuse children. One of the most acceptable ways to promote human trafficking is to guarantee entry to the United States of America.

The carnage has not stopped, and it is just getting worse. Cartels use the nation’s porous border to saturate American cities with drugs. They either use illegal aliens as drug mules or take advantage of security gaps left by Border Patrol agents tasked with processing unauthorized entry.

One hundred thousand people died from drug overdoses in the United States in 2021. The most common cause of death among American teenagers is fentanyl, manufactured in China and sold by cartels in Mexico. During the fiscal year 2021, CBP agents seized 10,000 pounds of fentanyl.

Fentanyl has a lethal potency of 250,000 dosages per pound. Every American may be killed seven times with that much fentanyl. The number of fish. We don’t know how much of this lethal toxin is floating in our neighborhoods.

Smugglers collect money from every illegal immigrant that crosses our southern border. The DHS policies of the Trump administration, such as “Remain in Mexico,” Asylum Cooperative Agreements with the Northern Triangle, and faster asylum procedures to screen out phony claims, have damaged cartel smuggling and trafficking networks.

When President Joe Biden took over the most secure border in history, he threw out the playbook.

White House reactions to tragedies like those in Texas may be seen coming. President Biden’s press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, states that “the border is closed.” This claim is ludicrous in light of the current high levels of illegal immigration, human trafficking, and narcotics trafficking.

The people of the United States need honest leaders who restore order. We are seeing increased human trafficking because of our shoddy border security measures. We deserve better.
