WH Press Sec Avoids Question About Hunter Biden Investigation!

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre avoided questions on Tuesday about whether President Joe Biden lied about his involvement in his son’s shady business dealings.

During Tuesday’s press briefing, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about claims from the House Oversight Committee that Biden lied about his involvement in Hunter Biden’s schemes.

“So, look, I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. House Republicans promised that fighting inflation during the midterms was going to be their number one priority,” Jean-Pierre said in response to Doocy’s question. “That’s what they said was important to them, and that’s what they wanted to do. But instead, what they’re doing is wanting to do an investigation on the president and his family. That’s their focus.”

She then accused Republicans of causing political division before directing Doocy to the White House counsel, who would be handling the matter.

“Look, I’m not going to get into, you know, get into the specifics of any oversight here,” Jean-Pierre said.

Members of the House Oversight Committee alleged that Biden and his son engaged in “waste, fraud, and abuse” in international business dealings. Republicans also said in November that they had proof of these accusations as well as of conspiracy to defraud the United States, wire fraud, violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, money laundering, tax evasion, and other offenses.

Hunter is currently under federal criminal investigation after banks flagged four of his transactions as “potential criminal activity,” including a suspicious deposit of $100,000 that came from China.

Since Biden came into office, he has been using his influence to deter officials from looking into Hunter’s foreign influence-peddling schemes, from rejecting the GOP’s request to retrieve documents related to his son to a full media blackout on Hunter’s laptop scandal.

That changed recently when Republicans regained control of the House and are now on the offensive to bring the Biden family’s corruption to light.

Despite this, however, Biden has stood by his son, while the White House has consistently declined to comment on any investigations into Hunter.

“I’m proud of my son,” the president said in October. “This is a kid who got, not a kid—he’s a grown man—he got hooked on, like many families have had happen, hooked on drugs. He’s overcome that. He’s established a new life.
