Woke actor Billy Eichner went on a Twitter rant after his movie ‘Bros’ flopped at the box office.
Dubbed as “the first gay rom-com produced by a major film studio,” ‘Bros’ is about two men with commitment problems who attempt a romantic relationship.
“Bobby is a neurotic podcast host who’s happy to go on Tinder dates and content not to have a serious relationship. That all changes when he meets Aaron, an equally detached lawyer who likes to play the field. Repeatedly drawn to each other, both men begin to show their vulnerable sides as their undeniable attraction turns into something resembling a commitment,” read the film’s official synopsis.
Eichner then blamed “straight people” after ‘Bros’ brought in a dismally small $4.8 million from 3,350 locations.
“That’s just the world we live in, unfortunately,” Eichner tweeted. “Even with glowing reviews, great Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore etc, straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up for Bros. And that’s disappointing but it is what it is.”
“Everyone who ISN’T a homophobic weirdo should go see BROS tonight!” he continued. “You will have a blast! And it *is* special and uniquely powerful to see this particular story on a big screen, esp for queer folks who don’t get this opportunity often. I love this movie so much. GO BROS!!!”
Hollywood continues to push its woke ideologies into movies and television shows. While some have unfortunately become mainstream successes, others have gotten what they deserved.
Most recently, Disney’s new “Lightyear” movie also bombed at the box office and garnered only $51.7 million during its opening weekend in the U.S. The film involved a lesbian kissing scene, which resulted in 14 Asian and Middle Eastern nations banning the film.
Ahead of its premiere, Chris Evans, who voiced the titular character, didn’t mince his words with those objecting to the film’s same-sex scene.
“The real truth is those people are idiots,” said the former Avengers star. “[T]here’s always gonna be people who are, ah, afraid and … trying to hold on to what was before … but those people die off like dinosaurs.”
Liberal entertainment companies only stand against regulations in the U.S. but would kneel before conservative nations such as China and Saudi Arabia, proving that all Hollywood studios care more about profit and only pander to leftists when it’s convenient.
